The United States Army - Red Army liaison team strikes a pose before conducting weapons training and familiarization with the 39th Guards Rifles; in preparation for hard fighting in the sector with the Wehrmacht 305th ID.

I know that training would have been very boring for you guys. They will all be that way until the dates posted above.

Don't worry, we can all appreciate the nature of the training. We'll take the time to get used to RO in our own way as well; truthfully I've been planning to some of the the more "back to basics" drills in Darkest Hour as well.

For those who are interested our new recruitment thread, which has details about our new portrayal can be found in the link below. We will also be moving to a temporary forum while our main forum is undergoing a complete overhaul. I will provide link to the temp forum shortly.

I noticed you guys were up to no good today. I'm pretty impressed at how big you guys are.

Truth is we had a terrible turn out as well. Our infantry groups were primarily at 1/3 strength today. x_x

Well, we started getting more people towards the middle of it and it turned out being a decent one too. We did have 20 at the start and ended with 28.

How's 12.SS/16. Panzer? Did you guys disband?

We are all still on Vent. But the majority of the unit is playing Arma2/OA portraying TF-373. RO2 basically killed the realism unit seen, so we are just waiting for FE at the moment and play all kinds of games.

Yeh RO2 kind of fucked the units organization a bit. We are currently playing DH as 2.SS but waiting for a mod or something worth going back to RO2 for. So we are still officially 305th but 2.SS is our DH portrayal.

Anything less than 30 I consider a bad turn out for Sunday training. We are now back in DH for the foreseeable future, I don't see much activity in HoS... but you never know maybe it will have a revival. But in all honesty there is probably more chance of seeing god. We have had a couple of good battles with the 29th ID recently who are good oppenents and hopefully we will be having plenty more over the coming months. I will be making an official update to this thread this weekend or possibly Monday as it's a bank holiday.

Willkommen zurück an der Front, we have been holding the allies at bay! Well... they have been trying to hold us at bay is
probably a better description. They certainly aren’t in sort supply these days! I trust you had a pleasant Urlaub?

Hahaha, if you want to call it that, although wading waist deep through a stinking Bolshevik infested swamp isn't exactly my idea of a vacation!

Looking forward to fighting you in this campaign! Perhaps our units will actually be on the same flank at some point; unlike the rather lax front you saw in the Berlin campaign. I assure you we'll give your Grenadeeren more exercise then the SHD did, that's for sure.

Expecting a stubborn defense as always.

We were considering clubbing togther to buy SHD a calander and a clock so we could actually arrange a battle and have them turn up.

And yeah I do hope we get to fight at least once in the campaign!
