I would be happy to code this into the game. However, I think our 3D specialist (RustIronCrowe) may want to take a look at your model files to see if there are places where it can be optimized for best performance and appearance. For example, small details like the rear support rail and the drag handles appear to use a lot of polys, but the barrel is really squared off and could stand to take a larger portion of your budget. After the model has been optimized one of our animators would need to rig it up, then I could start on the code.

I dont know how much poly can add at this mesh-project but 2647 tris is preety small.

Hi Pepur mate. I'm afraid it's not as easy as just "getting it ingame".
Here's a quick overlook of how things work:
First it needs sounds, animations, rigging, coding etc. Then it needs testing and made sure it's fault free. After that it's still not just "putting it out there". It doesn't just go out there on it's own, it will be in a content pack with other stuff as well. These other items would need to get the same treatment as the flak. When that's all done it's off to Tripwire for more thourough testing and then sent to Valve who will put it up for auto DL on Steam. All of this takes time (weeks/months).
Contact RustIronCrowe and take things from there. We have a whole team dedicated to the above tasks.

Aye we have been in contact with eachother, up to and including this FLAK cannon. Just waiting for Exo to get back to review his NDA so he can get into the dev section and begin some real work. 'Till then we are limited to this sort of touch-and-go thread coms. This should be fixed by this weekend though. :)

I can see this on any map where the Germans have a serious defensive position and some reasonable fields of fire. Examples:

Hill 108 :shock: (Give the Allies a Stuart?)
Vieux
Flak Position or Train Station on Juno :?:


Excellent for holding off trucks, half-tracks and even armored cars (not to mention infantry).

Not to mention slapping it on a SdKfz 251---Also, a superb counter to the US .50 cal BMG which is over the horizon somewhere :mrgreen:
