Looking good Rinaldi!

To many more matches vs the 113th Cavalry :)

Cheers Homuth, and yes, here's to many more battles against the 2.SS/305.ID!

The past few weeks have been momentous here at the 113th Cavalry, fresh off of a very fast-paced engagement against the 2.SS in classic Bocage terrain, we have received the enlistment of a renowned group of realism gamers. Join me in welcoming them:

A few days ago we were given the unique privilege and honor of amalgamating our comrades-in-arms of the 5th Ranger Battalion into our Unit in both its portrayals on the Western and Eastern Fronts. The 5th Ranger Battalion, led by Dreek and his executive, Foxhole, come with the battle-scars of 4 realism campaigns and all the skill and experience such a record can impart on them.

Their addition has allowed the Platoon to expand into a 4th Squad, and has greatly increased the air of professionalism that permeates through our ranks. It is a rare opportunity for us to grow a squad in strength and forgo the growing pains of having to induct, train and indoctrinate 7 Recruits.

Join me in welcoming the wholesale transfer of the 5th Rangers into our unit:

Sgt. Dreek, Arlie D.
Cpl. Anderson, David "Foxhole"
Pfc. Rhino, Aleksei M.
Pfc. Rivero, Alvaro "Fufur"
Pfc. Plunkett, Thomas "Irish Sniper"
Pfc. Fluxx, A. N.
Pvt. Leam, A. B.

As we did for many months before their enlistment, we look forward to fighting and working along side you gentlemen.

Signed
Rinaldi

Dankeschoen kamraden, Gruss. How goes the 16.PanzerD in RO2? If you gentlemen want a break from RO2 - like my lads often do, as you can see we are still active in DH as well - you are free to come to some of our trainings.

The 51st Guards (our Eastern Portrayal) can't really do much until the SDK is actually able to publish maps, but we do have some 'test' scrims in the work, to see what can be done with the limited times and lockdowns on the standard shit they call maps.

Consider yourself a tanker? The 113th Cavalry wants YOU

Posted Image

The 113th Cavalry are currently opening up spaces within their Light Tank/Assault Gun Troop, we are looking for individuals skilled with the M5, M4A376 and M10 GMC armored fighting vehicles. Spaces are limited and we will only be accepting up to 3 new recruits for the armored force - it is first come, first serve.

Why join the 113th?-More then just a unit, join a group of gamers who are approachable and friendly.
- Active scrimmaging, expect to be in combat with the finest Axis units in DH and RO frequently
- Highly active training; play twice a week with a motivated team

What do we expect from a member of the 113th?
- Consistent attendance. We train twice weekly; Thursday and Sunday nights @ 8PM Eastern Standard Time
-A mic is NOT required, but is encouraged!
-VOIP Program 'Teamspeak 3' is installed and functioning
-Must be minimum of 14 years of age.

The 113th has only recently come off a hard fought scrim with the 29th Infantry Division that ended in a draw with one win per team; we are now preparing for a scrim against the 25.ID and 369IR, to occur on December 3rd. Applicants who are recruited and inducted before Nov. 28th will be able to join the scrim and experience the epitome of team-gaming.

If you wish to join, or just have any questions, feel free to add me to steam at: http://steamcommunit...561197989315179

Regards,
2nd Lt. Rinaldi

If anyone is on the fence about joining this unit, GO FOR IT! Relaxed off the field and professional on the field. This group is quickly maturing into a mean fighting unit to be feared and respected. Helping Rinaldi and his boys in trainings is a blast.

Guys, if you're after realism and don't fancy joining other units, I would highly recommend The 113th (Please note, I am part of a different realism unit and this is not a buffer-up recruitment post).

It's professional run, and they regularly drill against other units. Not only this; but to my knowledge, their weapons are handed out in squads using historical references.

Please note that membership in the 113th Cavalry requires at minimum that you are above the age of 14, have a legal copy of Red Orchestra 1 and its mod, Darkest Hour, and have installed TeamSpeak 3. All applicants are expected to participate in the Platoon's drills in both DH and RO2 - unless otherwise excused for technological or monetary reasons.

A very belated Happy New Year from the 113th Cavalry! We've been quite busy, so do excuse the delay :)

First and Foremost, a warm welcome to our newest members:

Pvt. Ilyin, Nikita
Pvt. Haist, Devon P.
Pvt. Sailer, Nicholas, B
Pvt. Emory, Evan L.

For Pvts Haist, Sailer and Emory, they have had the pleasure of participating in a scrim not even a month into their memberships at the 113th Cavalry. In an epic 3-hour confrontation, the 113th engaged the 2.SS Division in a friendly and professional scrim, winning by the skin of their teeth; a small bit of the After-Action-Report can be read below:

"
The quick movement to the rear of "RUINS" bogged down as the Recon Platoon found itself spread out and picked apart by enemies in the Ruins, and through retreats and counterattacks the position changed hands 4 times, and the enemy managed to disengage some of his forces from HAUT to counter the threat to his rear. At this time, the enemy Recon car re-appeared, and devastated one Greyhound instantly. Return fire from the second damaged it, and forced its retreat, but it defended itself with skill and in turn destroyed the second Greyhound. Despite the enemy clearly having the fire superiority, the damaged enemy car limped off to HAUT and attempted to engage, ineffectively, MALTOT. After quite some time, it would be destroyed by AT fire.

A rifle squad (1st, SL: Masterson) helped secure the situation at "RUINS", destroying the remaining enemy with no loss to themselves. The enemy was now surrounded and cut off from the river; and several calls to surrender were made - and promptly refused. After a prolonged firefight, a final push removed the remaining enemy at little further cost. Regardless, what started as a patrol action devolved into a full-scale and costly firefight."

Professionalism unmatched, twice-a-week trainings, frequent scrims. Join the 113th today!

3rd Squad, 1st Platoon, C Troop of the 113th Cavalry Squadron assault a position; the enemy throw all manner of projectiles, even colored smoke grenades, in an attempt to prevent entry into their position.

Thank you; all hard fought victories! Was trying to get some more against the 10.SS and the 502nd, but unfortunately they had to back out of the scrims. I'm sure more opportunities will arise. Very glad to see you guys back in action Schroll; can't play DH for more than 30 minutes without running into at least one of your men. Hope to see you guys stay active!

I have heard rumours that the commanding general of the LXXXIV. AK may extend the divisional sector of the
2.SS-Panzer Division “Das Reich” further to the south. This may go some way to stem and allied break through
in that southern sector of the front.
