The 2.SS/305 ID and the 506th PIR are proud to bring you: Gotterdamerung ("Twilight of the Gods"), a campaign for Red Orchestra: Ost Front.

The battle for Berlin is set to start, as Russian forces stream towards the German capital; the fighting will be some of the war's worst -- and would prove to be the final battle of the war. As an individual fighter or as a member of a unit, you may take part in the war's final urban brawl as either an Axis soldier - intent on fighting to the last- or a Soviet strelok, eager for revenge.

We are now accepting any and all applications to "The Twilight of the Gods", please register yourself and your units on our forums today: http://twilightofthe...forumotion.com/

The Allied side is in desperate need of fighters, join today!

Forwards comrades!

Today we stand at the brink of victory! The fascist dogs are beaten and fallen
back to their last holdout. No more can they run from our righteous vengeance.
Remember your murdered brothers and sisters, the cruelty the Fascist invaders
showed our people and our homeland! They have raped, pillaged and plundered our motherland, now we stand upon the doorstep of their evil regime. Show no mercy, just like they showed no mercy to our glorious union!

Under comrade Stalin's blessed gaze, let us take from the Nazis everything! No hesitation, no remorse, all failures to perform in battle will be punished with the severest consequences, bury the fascist hordes in the rubble of their own empire, liberate these lands into our socialist union!

?? ??????! ?? ???????!
For the Motherland! For Stallin!

Achtung, Detuchse soldaten!
Sieg oder Siberia!
All men of the German capital are urged to report to their local
Volksturmbattalions. Soldiers without units are to report to the
military office set-up in the Freiherrstrasse, near Brandenburg to
receive ammunition and new postings.

Today and tomorrow, we don't only fight for Führer and fatherland,
but for the very survival of our own homes, woman and children against
the barbaric Bolshevik hordes from the east, to preserve the very Western
culture they seek to drench in communist lies and blood of innocents.

Now has the hour come to take up arms and stand resilient in the face
of this coming storm and do our duty and make the invaders pay with their blood
for their savagery, so once more proud citizens of all Western people can
live free and proud in Europe.

Deserters and cowards who conspire with the Bolshevik hordes, those who
leave their brothers in arms and innocent woman and children to die will
be executed on sight.

Berlin bleibt Deutsch!

Unno where Hans post went, but yes it is a legitimate concern. The organizers are searching for Allied units, we may have enough. It'll be a wait and see thing. I think for now, its best to just register and get momentum going. Remember this isn't exclusive to units, if you have a group of friend's that want to fight, we have designed the campaign in a manner that allows this to occur seamlessly.

I deleted it. I thought it was for DH. That's what I get for not reading and jumping to conclusions.

No worries. Yes it is for Red Orchestra, but I know many units like to filter in between so we chose to post it up here. The 506th will be fighting in it as a Russian unit. RO: Ost should still attract the crowds.

That's a nice banner you made, but I tried to aim for more political neutrality for the main banner. So I chose the markings of both armies.

Do you like my main banner? I'm not that much into the graphical stuff but I did what I could for this campaign.

Art isn't supposed to be politically neutral or politically correct. Art is supposed to be controversial and create conversation/discourse.

Plus, the Sickle and Hammer and Swastika are very powerful symbols. It helps sale the experience of Gotterdamerung to the realism community.

Can you imagine OFP: CWC without the sickle and hammer and the Soviet national anthem? It would be just another open world FPS and wouldn't feel like you were fighting the Cold War

I fully understand what you mean. However, for this first campaign of ours I didn't want to have a strong political banner. I especially don't want to stir up political debates (Because they always end the same: thread locked). Also taking legal issues in mind in certain countries which do not allow the signs ( we have send units these advertisements for the campaign as well )

My other specialised banners have more political content and add to more immersion for the German and Russian team, but these will not be posted on this forum.

To get back on the campaign, it's good to see so many people are already signing up, also a lot of players of the Allied side! :D :D

Keep it up!

Excellent, I love it.

While I'm online, any word on the 16 PzD joining? Quite a few members of all units have registered, but the units themselves have not, so far its just the 506th and 305ID officially registered. Badger your unit leaders people, the sooner units and clans are registered, the sooner the fireworks can begin.

EXCELLENT~~

Nitpick: For the banner, I'd go right between the two as far as brightness. For the main text, the top left could use a littttttlllleee brightness.

My confidence is rising with this campaign, the build-up of members is staggering. At this rate we'll be fighting the battles for Berlin's outskirts in short time.
