Anybody else know anyone who had one? Until I was about 7, my family used to hire this old Polish woman to stay with me and my brother while my family was away, and I remember clearly that she had a tatoo on her arm which consisted of numbers. I remember someone telling me that she was a kid at the time and her entire family was separated from her and she never saw them again.
She may have been the most interesting person I ever met as a kid, but wasnt even trying. She introduced me to all sorts of various polish foods and customs, including goat tongue (not bad at all, really), and was probably one of the most genuine people I ever met.
Anybody else come across a survivor in everyday life. I dont mean at some meeting or place you would expect to find one, but someone that was part of your life in some way.
