I do hope you guys are going to take advantage of the dynamic lighting abilities that UE4 offers.

So Glad To Hear This Update Guys,
Its Been a While But everything is sounding superb!

Keep Up the good work and im also relieved to hear about the switch to UE4 at last u wont have to worry about trying to develop with cry-engine ;)

Also with Crowd Sourcing i think that is going to be the best way to support JBG and FE in a smoother process to a high production quality so thats a good plus and cant wait to see some more development updates :D

Been a long time waiting now but very glad to see everythings on track
hurrah for the FE team :)

I am curious how it will look. DH is great, especially because of the overall atmosphere.

CryENGINE can display very realistic environment (e.g. Kingdom Come and "old" Festung Europa screenshots) but Unreal engine 4 is presented more for sci-fi, fantasy and other fictional worlds (tech. demos etc.) with unnatural materials and lighting.

Both global illumination and physically based rendering are supported in Unreal Engine 4. If someone were looking for realistic environments, rather than fantasy-based ones, it certainly can be done in UE4 if desired. More atmospheric environments, like DH, can also be achieved. It all depends on the tone the designers wish to achieve on their levels.

Surely that level of rendering can't be done in a game?

Another example of what can be achieved....

I'm just here to drink beer and bitch about the lack of updates.

If y'all consider adding a theatre, I'd love to see the bulge/Siegfried line.

Otherwise, y'all have all those pictures on my thread to help take inspiration from. :D

True, Lamb. I'd certainly think the addition of the Americans in the Normandy theatre would certainly add popularity.

Of course they will. It's already hinted at in the updated description of the game on the JBG home page.

Glad to see you guys made the right choice. I was wondering how you guys where going to get above the "15 vs 15" players I see most games that use Crytek engine. Also very excited to see you guys are still around it's been awhile. Just yesterday I made a Campaign Map for BoB for the new maps being re-released for DH in case we want to do a Campaign again :)

Time to start the kickstarter guys! But before you do that, invest some time on a good concept video to show people out there exactly what it is you're planning to build! Just like Chris Roberts did with Star Citizen, and now he's just hit 61 million dollars in crowdfunding! Even a fraction of that would surely help in the development of this game.

Anywho, good luck and god speed! *salute!*

Dslyecxi, who is well known in the OFP/Arma community, put together a video where he discusses Oculus Rift: the good and the bad. It's worth watching if you want to know more about that product.
